Governor Granholm will be at the start line to greet runners and send off each (25 – 50 people) running group. There may not be time for personal photos, but a professional photographer will be taking photos of each start group as she sends them off. All runners will have free access to these professional photos after the Run on our Web site.

Ypsichick- Yes, you can register the morning of the run from 5:00-5:30 a.m. at the Recreation Center in Mackinaw City. Just be sure to have valid I.D so you can pick up your packet.

I’m pretty sure that I won’t get up there in time for the dinner the night before. Is there any way I can register the morning of the run? If so, where and how do I do that? Thanks!

Thanks, Sarah. I hope that I can make it up there in time for the dinner. At this point, I’m relying on a friend for a ride and we aren’t sure what time we will be coming into town Sunday evening (I’m pushing to come Saturday, but I’m at the mercy of my ride at this point ) Anyway, I WILL be there the morning of the run, so just keep me on the radr. I don’t necessarily need anyone to be with me while I run, just to be aware that I may need to take a few breaks, nothing too major. Thanks for the support in any case. See you Monday!

There are buses along the lake near the finish line available, but there is a $5 charge as they are for the public. The buses that will be at the Recreation Center after the Run are free and for runners only. The Rec Center is only a few blocks from the finish.

Also, there will not be kids in the Run this year. That was for a special mentoring program that we do not have anymore. Our Ambassadors will be encouraging all runners.
