A BIG Thank-You to…

The Mackinac Bridge Labor Day Run comes together each year with the support and effort of many organizations and businesses. With the help of our sponsors, the Michigan Fitness Foundation is able to organize a quality event for Bridge Run participants. This event is made memorable thanks to the generous donations by our sponsors.

At the pasta dinner, attendees will have the opportunity to win great prizes in the raffle drawing and the chance to bid upon two larger prizes during the silent auction.

Up for bid in the silent auction is a thrilling tour of the Mackinac Bridge Tower courtesy of the Mackinac Bridge Authority. The tour will take the lucky winner and a guest to the top of one of the Mackinac Bridge arches, 550 feet above the water.  Also up for auction is a two-night stay for two at the elegant Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, courtesy of the Grand Hotel.

Pasta dinner attendees will be eligible to win a variety of raffle prizes including clothing items, framed photos of the Mackinac Bridge and running gear. Prizes have been generously donated by Playmakers, the Michigan Department of Transportation and Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa. This year’s grand raffle prize is a Winter Weekend Getaway at Crystal Mountain, which hosts 45 downhill slopes, more than 25 miles of cross-country ski trails and a full-service Spa.

Playmakers will provide music as you run across the finish line to a cheering crowd and light snack. Bottled water for all runners is donated by DBI and dried cherries, part of your post-run snack, is donated by Cherry Central.

Wondering what to do with your plastic water bottle after you have finished? Not to worry, Schupan Recycling has donated enough recycling bins to hold all of the empty bottles.

Thank you to all of these sponsors for their generous donations and support. As a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization, the Michigan Fitness Foundation relies on sponsors and donors to help make the Mackinac Bridge Labor Day Run a quality, fun and memorable experience for all participants.

  1. Thank you to the sponsors of this event! Such great fun! :)

Can someone help me figure out the best logistics: My adult daughter and I are from the U.P. and are staying in St. Ignace for the night. She wants to meet me at the finish line in Mackinac City, there we plan to go back to St. Ignace to allow her to walk across the bridge (with me too). Better to park in St. Ignace and just take shuttles? Have her take a shuttle to Mackinaw City by herself early in the a.m. to see me and then we BOTH take a shuttle back? Park in Mackinaw City for the final walk to drive home into the U.P. and just have me take a shuttle from the run to meet her back in St. Ignace?

    Help!! :) :) There’s a reason I wasn’t a math major in college! :) :)

    • Hi Lynne,

I would recommend parking in St. Ignace. There will be shuttles available to take you across the bridge!

      Thanks for your question!
